LüMO Expands to Bad Schwartau

LUMO, a ride-sharing system, has been in operation in Lübeck since February 2018. Now, the service has expanded to include the towns of Stockelsdorf and Bad Schwartau. This expansion is part of a research project funded by the federal government, with around one million euros provided.

Residents of these towns, excluding villages, can now benefit from the service. After booking via the app or phone, the minibus usually arrives at the specified virtual bus stop within 20 minutes. The service operates with numerous virtual bus stops in both Lübeck and the new locations.

The service operates in the new areas on Fridays and Saturdays between 8 pm and 4 am, and until 1 am on the other days. The fleet has been expanded by three vehicles, totaling ten minibuses, including three wheelchair-accessible models.
