Title: Navigating Public Transportation in Tomsk Post-May 9th Celebration

Tombskels can Easily Reach Destinations on Public Transit after the Victory Day Festivities

Eager to head home after Tomsk's first Victory Day parade since 2022? You're in luck! Public transit will be operational to get you to Chereomoshnik or Lagerny Gardens following the event. Here's how!

Initially reported, the city of Tomsk will host a salute, commemorating Victory Day, for the first time since 2022. The launch will take place from Tomi river barges, with spectators gathering on the square near the Drama Theatre. The display will commence at 10:45 PM and last 13 minutes.

According to the city council's press service, once the salute concludes, Tomskers can travel home via public transport. Designated buses and trams will cover various areas of the city, including the following:

  1. Northern and Eastern Corridors: Buses will depart from the "1905 Year Alley" and "River Port" stops, heading towards Irkutsk Highway and other regions in the north. Trolleybuses will commence from the "Central Department Store" stop in this direction.
  2. Southern Regions: Buses will gather at the Art Museum parking lot. Trolleybuses will travel towards Lagerny Gardens from the "Lenin Square" stop.

Tram No. 1, 3, and 5 will follow regular routes.

Fare will be set according to the evening tariff – 32 rubles.

An official from the city's transport department stated that the exact duration of service isn't specified. "Transport providers aim to move the main passenger flow post-celebration, so there's no pre-determined duration for transit operations," she explained. This inconsistency is attributed to the unpredictable passenger volume that might result from the celebratory event.

Remember, while it's not possible to predict the exact duration of services, you can depend on transit providers to focus on moving the bulk of passengers post-celebration. Stay safe, fellow Tomskels, and enjoy the festivities!
