Amrita Tonk Returns to CMS INDUSLAW as Partner in Employment, Investigations, and ABAC Practice

Amrita Tonk, a distinguished legal professional with a diverse background in litigation, investigations, and employment law, has rejoined CMS INDUSLAW as a partner in their Delhi-based employment and investigations practice.

Tonk's experience includes advising Indian and multinational corporations on complex issues such as whistle-blower investigations, termination of senior management, and strategic matters related to culture, governance, and compliance. She is also well-versed in handling sensitive and high-stakes employment matters.

Avimukt Dar and Suneeth Katarki, Founding and Senior Partners of CMS INDUSLAW, expressed their joy at Tonk's return. They acknowledged her combined experience in the judiciary and legal practice as a valuable addition to their firm, which is known for excellence in legal practice and a deep commitment to client service.

Tonk's career trajectory includes in-house corporate experience, judicial service, and now a leadership position in a law firm's investigations and employment practice. She most recently served as Head of Legal (North) at Godrej Properties Limited. Her prior tenure in the judiciary has enriched her career, giving her a unique perspective that is likely to benefit her clients.

In her new role, Tonk will focus on investigation work as part of the employment and investigations practice. While there is no explicit mention of an ABAC (anti-bribery and anti-corruption) practice linked to her, employment and investigations practices at law firms often encompass compliance areas that can include ABAC work. However, this is not confirmed for Amrita Tonk specifically based on the available information.

Tonk's expertise in employment advisory equips her to navigate complex legal and operational challenges. She earned her LLM from Kurukshetra University and graduated from the Army Institute of Law, Mohali in 2010.

CMS INDUSLAW's partners look forward to collaborating with Tonk to grow the practice further and deliver impactful results for clients.
