L67 Completely Shut Down

In the heart of the Lingen business area, significant changes are on the horizon. The Lower Saxony State Authority for Road Construction and Traffic has announced that construction works will commence on the L67 route, with the aim of replacing four bridges and extending approximately 100 meters of new carriageway.

The bridges over the Lee and the Klausheider ditch, as well as the two identical L67 bridges over the Soermannsbach and the Plakkengraben, will undergo simultaneous replacements. This extensive project will utilise prefabricated parts, a total of 28, each measuring 2.30 meters by 4.60 meters and weighing over 25 tons.

The construction works are scheduled to take place in the coming months, with completion expected by June 2026. To minimise disruption, a diversion route has been planned for motor vehicle traffic. The diversion begins at the B213 in Nordhorn, continues onto the K17 towards Hohenkörben, and then onto the L45 towards Wietmarschen, before returning to the original route.

Motorists should note that the diversion route remains unchanged, regardless of the direction of travel. For those cycling from Nordhorn (L67), a diversion via the streets "Grünlandweg", "Hertinsweg", and "Schwarzer Weg" has been set up, a route that also applies in the opposite direction.

The construction works will be carried out under full closure, ensuring the safety of both workers and the public. The authority responsible for the completion of state road 67 between Wietmarschen and Nordhorn and for announcing this measure in the Lingen administrative area is the "Landesbehörde für Straßenbau und Verkehr" (State Authority for Road Construction and Traffic) in the Lingen district.

The bridge replacements are an essential part of maintaining the infrastructure of Lower Saxony's road network, and the authority is committed to ensuring that the works are completed efficiently and safely. Motorists and cyclists are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and to follow the diversion signs carefully during the construction period.
