Kyrgyzstan and Iran have taken a significant step towards enhancing their transport cooperation. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed, with Azamat Sakiev of Kyrgyz Temir Zholu and Ali Jabbar Zakeri of Iran's Roads and Urban Development Ministry leading the negotiations. The agreement focuses on expanding train transportation, particularly freight flows, between Central Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.

The parties discussed and agreed to expand their cooperation in train transportation. This move aims to facilitate the expansion of freight flows and develop transit routes between the regions mentioned. The signing of the Memorandum marks an important step in strengthening the partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Iran's transport administrations.

Kazakh freight operators have plans to bolster their transportation capabilities. They intend to acquire over 7,000 railcars to boost train transportation, a move that could significantly impact the region's logistics landscape.
