Klingel's fashion label "Miamoda" has been put up for sale.

The Miamoda brand, which specialises in fashion for plus-size women, has been acquired by the Popken Fashion Group. The German-based fashion company, known for its focus on the plus-size segment, announced the purchase of Miamoda in a recent statement.

The sale, which includes customer addresses and inventory, was unanimously approved by the bodies of Klingel's self-administration, including the creditors' committee. Marcus Katholing, the current Klingel manager and insolvency expert of the insolvency administrator Pluta, commended the positive talks with the Popken Fashion Group regarding Miamoda.

The Popken Fashion Group, headquartered in Rastede, Lower Saxony, operates in over 30 countries through its online shops and physical stores. In addition to Miamoda, the company owns four other brands: Ulla Popken, Laurasøn, Studio Untold, and JP1880.

The acquisition of Miamoda aims to strengthen Popken's portfolio and expand Miamoda's presence across European and international markets. Under the new ownership, Miamoda continues to focus on offering stylish and comfortable plus-size womenswear. The brand leverages Popken’s expertise and distribution network to reach a wider audience.

It's worth noting that this is not the first acquisition by Popken Fashion Group from Klingel. In October, the company also purchased the HAPPYsize brand from Klingel's insolvency assets. The HAPPYsize brand was previously part of Klingel and is now under the management of Popken Fashion Group.

The KLiNGEL group, headquartered in Pforzheim, is currently in insolvency proceedings in self-administration since May 2023. For up-to-date and detailed information beyond this summary, it is advisable to consult official Popken Fashion Group releases or Miamoda's corporate communications.

The Klingel group, in its ongoing restructuring process, has sold more than one brand to the Popken Fashion Group, with the latest acquisition being Miamoda. The retail and finance sectors are closely intertwined as the Popken Fashion Group aims to leverage this deal to boost its business in the fashion industry, particularly the retail segment for plus-size women's clothing.
