Kew Green Hotels Plants 1,200 Trees, Aims to Be Net Zero by 2040

Kew Green Hotels has shown a strong commitment to sustainability, recently planting 1,200 native trees and becoming Planet Mark certified. The company aims to become Net Zero Carbon by 2040, a decade ahead of the Paris Accord target.

In April 2022, Kew Green Hotels took a significant step towards its Net Zero Carbon goal by planting 1,200 native trees. This initiative will offset 840 tonnes of CO2 over the trees' lifetime.

The company's dedication to sustainability has been recognised by Venue Directory, which awarded Kew Green Hotels a Green Accreditation for all hotels in its portfolio. Venue Directory praised Kew Green Hotels' commitment to reducing carbon emissions and preserving the planet.

Kew Green Hotels has also become Planet Mark certified. This certification involves measuring and reducing the company's carbon footprint year on year. The company operates its hotels in line with each hotel brand partner's sustainability initiatives, including IHG Green Engage, Hilton Travel With Purpose, and Marriott Serve 360.

Kew Green Hotels is not only committed to reducing its own carbon footprint but also aims to offer guests increased transparency and assurances that their events align with sustainability commitments. Despite not finding specific implementation details for the Net Zero 2040 goal in April 2022, the company's actions and recognitions demonstrate a serious approach to environmental responsibility.
