JDE Peet's to Move DACH Headquarters to Sustainable "Lighthouse" in Bremen
In an exciting development, coffee powerhouse JDE Peet's has announced plans to relocate its DACH headquarters (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) to the historic factory area of Tabakquartier in Bremen-Woltmershausen. The move, scheduled for the first quarter of 2026, will see the company occupy the newly constructed seven-story office building named "Lighthouse."
The "Lighthouse," a project developed by Justus Grosse, is being built with renewable or recyclable materials and will boast a green roof featuring photovoltaic systems. This eco-friendly approach aligns with JDE Peet's commitment to sustainability, a key focus in the company's strategy to increase employer attractiveness.
Uschi Wagener, General Manager of JDE Peet's, expressed that the move to Tabakquartier is a commitment to Bremen as a location. She further stated that the new headquarters will provide modern, sustainable workplaces and more space for daily coffee passion, fostering creativity and innovation among employees.
The move also aims to attract new talents to the company. Burkhard Bojazian, managing partner of Justus Grosse, expressed enthusiasm about welcoming JDE Peet's as a tenant in Tabakquartier. He noted that the Lighthouse, covering around 3,700 square meters, will offer ample space for the company's around 300 employees.
JDE Peet's also prioritizes the well-being of employees alongside sustainability and environmental aspects. The company intends to make existing employees feel more connected to their own brands and the product coffee with the new location. The visualization of the "Lighthouse" is available, offering a glimpse into the modern, sustainable working environment that JDE Peet's employees can look forward to.
