IK Partners Closes Record-Breaking Small Cap IV Fund

IK Partners, a leading European private equity firm, has announced the successful close of its largest Small Cap fund to date, the IK SC IV, with €2 billion in commitments. The fund focuses on investing in growing businesses within the Business Services, Healthcare, Consumer, and Industrials sectors.

The IK SC IV includes a dedicated €600 million Development Capital pool for investments in smaller companies valued at €20 million to €80 million. Since launching the Small Cap strategy in 2015, IK Partners has completed 56 transactions across four funds, realising over €2.1 billion in proceeds.

The fund has attracted strong investment interest primarily from the EMEA region (71%), followed by North America (18%) and Asia (11%). Notably, 80% of the capital was raised from existing investors on the IK platform, reflecting strong ongoing investor confidence.

Speaking about the fund, Christopher Masek, CEO of IK Partners, said, "The Fund has already made one investment and will continue to employ the same investment strategy focused on growing business across IK’s core sectors of Business Services, Healthcare, Consumer and Industrials."

Mad's Ryum Larsen, Managing Partner and Head of Investor Relations at IK Partners, added, "IK SC IV was oversubscribed at its hard cap in less than six months after its launch, having attracted significant interest from a high-quality institutional investor base across EMEA, North America and Asia."

The enterprise values for companies targeted by IK SC IV will range between €80 million and €200 million. Kristian Kemppinen, Managing Partner and Head of Small Cap Strategy at IK Partners, expressed gratitude to investors, saying, "We are pleased to announce the close of our fourth Small Cap fund, building on IK’s long-standing expertise in the lower mid-market."

IK Partners continues to benefit from positive market dynamics at the lower end of the mid-market. In addition to the IK SC IV, the firm has closed over €6 billion in commitments since 2024, including the €505 million IK Strategic Opportunities I Fund in April 2024 and the €3.3 billion IK X Fund in April 2025.

With the successful close of the IK SC IV, IK Partners is well-positioned to continue its growth trajectory, offering more choice and opportunity than ever in the private equity market.

Investments made by the IK SC IV, a private equity fund, will primarily focus on finance and business growth in the Business Services, Healthcare, Consumer, and Industrials sectors. IK Partners, the fund's managing firm, has secured €2 billion in commitments for this fund, marking its largest Small Cap fund to date.
