Getting Around Omsk City Council Just Got Easier!
Listen up, folks! On Thursday, June 19, the transport infrastructure committee of Omsk City Council is dialing in on the installation and setup of bus stops. And why not? With smoother public transit, everyone wins!
Last year, the Department of Road Management and Improvement managed to pull off a decent 50 transport stops, giving a boost to the city's transportation network. Of those, a whopping 26 stops were designed with the specific needs of disabled individuals and mobility-impaired groups in mind. Wowza!
But that's not all! Furthermore, under the federal program "Safe and Quality Roadways," another 44 structures also got the green light. That's a grand total of 94 stops!
Now, let's talk about this year—on deck are 44 new transport stops, with 18 of 'em designed with accessibility in mind for our fellow citizens with disabilities. And guess what else? The remaining 43 shelters are set to get a revamp as part of a national project! Wow, city commuting is on the upswing!
However, my friends, if you're looking for the exact number of accessible stops planned for this year, I'm afraid I can't help you much. For the most current and accurate information, be sure to hit up Omsk City Council or take a peek at their official announcements. Happy travels! 🚌♿️🎉
