FECON IP Hiep Hoa Industrial Project: A Green and Sustainable Industrial Hub in Bắc Ninh, Vietnam

The FECON IP Hiep Hoa industrial project, located in Bắc Ninh, Vietnam, is a 75-hectare industrial cluster designed to drive sustainable industrial development in Northern Vietnam. Strategically positioned about 50 km from Hanoi and close to Nội Bài Airport and three major highways, the project offers direct connectivity with regional production centers like Bắc Ninh, Thái Nguyên, Hải Phòng, and Lạng Sơn[1][2].

This modern, green industrial park is planned with a construction density of 70%, while about 100,000 m² is reserved for green spaces and water features to create a healthy working environment[1]. FECON IP Hiep Hoa aims to attract high-value, environmentally friendly industries including electronics, precision engineering, pharmaceuticals, and food processing, enhancing its role as an industrial hub[2][3].

The project is being developed and operated by FECON Invest, leveraging over 20 years of expertise in foundation and industrial construction[2]. Local authorities have committed to supporting the project by facilitating land, administrative procedures, and labor attraction to enable both immediate and long-term success[1].

The project offers several benefits:

  1. Strong Regional Connectivity: The project's strategic location boosts supply chain integration, positioning it to strengthen northern Vietnam's supply chain for electronic components, semiconductors, and advanced equipment, given its proximity to major corporations such as Samsung, Foxconn, Goertek, and Luxshare[4].
  2. Modern, Eco-friendly Infrastructure: The project is designed to attract high-tech and clean industries, featuring an AO-physicochemical wastewater treatment system, a 22 kV medium-voltage power grid, modern telecommunications, a standardised fire prevention and fighting system, and 24/7 security[1].
  3. Supportive Local Government: The local government is committed to ensuring smooth implementation of the project[1].
  4. Contribution to Sustainable Industrial Growth: The project represents a key part of FECON Group's strategic industrial infrastructure development and commitment to partnering with government and businesses to foster efficient and sustainable production environments[1][2][3].

In addition to the FECON IP Hiep Hoa project, six other projects are currently being implemented in Hiep Hoa commune with a total area of 555 ha, while two projects, Dong Lo IC and Dong Lo 1 IC, covering 150 ha, have not yet been implemented[6]. The project will also have an integrated administrative area with office spaces and service amenities such as a supermarket, restaurants, banks, and clinics[5].

Businesses investing in the FECON IP Hiep Hoa project will be eligible for corporate income tax incentives, with exemptions for the first two years and a 50% reduction for the next four years[5]. Moreover, the project offers import tax exemptions for machinery, equipment, and materials not yet produced domestically, as well as raw materials for export production[7].

The groundbreaking ceremony for the FECON IP Hiep Hoa project was held on August 9[8]. The project is part of a chain of eight industrial zones in Hiep Hoa commune, which benefit from advantageous geographical locations and easy connectivity to major roads, seaports, airports, and economic centers[9].
