In less than a day, the Huawei-supported Stelato S9T estate car accumulated over 20,000 pre-orders.
In a remarkable display of consumer interest, the new Stelato S9T station wagon has attracted over 20,000 pre-orders within just 24 hours of its pre-sale launch on August 18. The pre-sales price for this high-end vehicle is set at RMB 328,000, equivalent to approximately $45,670.
The S9T is one of the first vehicles to be equipped with Huawei's ADS 4, a smart driving system that was released in April this year. This advanced technology is expected to enhance the driving experience for S9T owners.
Stelato is one of the five automotive brands under Huawei HIMA, a joint venture between Huawei and various vehicle manufacturers. The other brands under Huawei HIMA include Aito from Seres Group, Luxeed from Chery, Maextro from Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group (JAC), and Shangjie from SAIC.
The S9T is not the only model offered by Stelato. The brand's only previous release, the Stelato S9, a high-end sedan, was launched on August 6, 2024.
The S9T comes in both Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) and Extended-Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) variants. The BEV variant is equipped with a 100-kWh Huawei Giant Whale battery, offering a range of up to 801 kilometers. On the other hand, the EREV variant is equipped with Huawei's X extended-range system, offering a battery range of up to 354 kilometers. When fully charged and fueled, the EREV variant offers a total range of up to 1,305 kilometers.
Interestingly, within the first hour of pre-sales, the S9T received over 10,000 pre-orders, indicating a strong demand for this new vehicle. The S9T is set to be officially launched in September, as announced on July 31.
Huawei is also set to launch new models under the Luxeed and Aito brands on Aug 25. As Stelato continues to gain traction, it will be interesting to see how these new releases will impact the market.
