Honda Cars India Sales Surge Post GST 2.0 Price Cuts

Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) has witnessed a surge in sales following the implementation of GST 2.0, with Vice President of Marketing & Sales, Kunal Behl, expressing optimism about continued momentum into October. The company's price revisions under the new tax regime have made its models more affordable, driving a strong pick-up in wholesales and deliveries from Navratras onwards.

HCIL's price cuts under GST 2.0 have been significant. The Amaze lineup is now priced under ₹10 lakh, while the City ranges from ₹11.95 to ₹16.07 lakh, and the Elevate from ₹10.99 to ₹16.34 lakh. Behl attributes the sales upturn in September 2025 to these price revisions, with the month seeing 10,911 units sold, a month-on-month improvement from August's 6,774 units, despite a year-on-year decline.

The company also launched festive editions of the Elevate Apex and City Edition to capitalise on the festive season. Moreover, India's contribution to Honda's global network has grown, with over 200,000 units exported from the country in 2025.

Honda Cars India Ltd's strategic pricing under GST 2.0 has boosted sales, with September 2025 marking a significant improvement from the previous month. The company's festive editions and strong export performance further underscore its growth trajectory.
