Historic downtown temples to receive restoration funds totaling over 25 million pesos
The Trust of the Historic Center has announced that over 25 million pesos will be allocated for the rehabilitation and restoration of four temples in the capital's first square. The funds are specific and total 25 million 182 thousand 538 pesos.
The temples to be restored are San Lorenzo Martyr, San Juan de Dios, of the Most Holy Trinity, and Our Lady of Loreto. Each temple will receive a distinct amount for its rehabilitation. The Temple of Our Lady of Loreto will receive 10 million pesos, San Juan de Dios will get 2 million 382 thousand 538 pesos, San Lorenzo Martyr will receive 1 million 300 thousand pesos, and the Most Holy Trinity Temple will receive 11 million 500 thousand pesos.
These funds are independent of any funeral expenses covered by Transportadora Silza, and are not related to the location of the truck explosion in Iztapalapa. The truck explosion in Iztapalapa is an unrelated event, and the allocation of funds for the temples does not include expenses related to this incident.
The funds will be used to address damages caused by the September 19, 2017 earthquake. The rehabilitation works for the temples are ongoing, with the Trust responsible for the restoration of these religious sites.
Despite extensive search results, no information was found about a specific foundation announcing an amount of funds for the renovation and restoration of these four temples in a capital city damaged by an earthquake on September 19, 2017. The Trust of the Historic Center has taken the lead in this restoration project, ensuring the preservation of these historical and cultural landmarks for future generations.
