Arctos Values Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Devils Owning Corporation HBSE at $3 Billion in Recent Investment

HBSE, the parent company of the 76ers and the Devils, estimated at a $3 billion value in Arctos investment.

The sports and entertainment landscape has seen a significant shift with the recent investment by Arctos Sports Partners in Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment (HBSE). This private company, which owns the Philadelphia 76ers (NBA) and the New Jersey Devils (NHL), among other properties, has seen its value soar to approximately $14.58 billion.

The deal, which closed last week, was announced on Monday morning. Arctos Sports Partners, an investor in multiple teams across various sports leagues, has now become a part of HBSE's extensive portfolio.

HBSE's total assets were reported to be $11.86 billion in 2024. However, by July 2025, the valuation had risen to about $14.58 billion, placing it among the most valuable sports ownership groups globally. This valuation encompasses all HBSE holdings, not just the 76ers and Devils separately.

Arctos Sports Partners has a diverse investment portfolio, with stakes in at least 18 deals, including investments into multiple teams in the NHL, NBA, MLB, and English Premier League. The company has also invested in the Golden State Warriors, Sacramento Kings, Tampa Bay Lightning, Minnesota Wild, Premier Lacrosse League, and Italian soccer club Atalanta.

Moreover, Arctos Sports Partners has raised at least $5 billion across multiple funds and has invested in Elevate Sports Ventures, a consultancy co-launched by HBSE in 2018.

The investment in HBSE is not Arctos Sports Partners' first venture outside the HBSE umbrella. The company has also invested in the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Premier League club Crystal Palace, among others.

It's worth noting that Arctos Sports Partners has the right to buy a little more than 5% of HBSE over time. This investment is expected to strengthen HBSE's position in the sports and entertainment industry, providing opportunities for growth and expansion.

Sportico's current valuations put the Philadelphia 76ers at $2.67 billion and the New Jersey Devils at $750 million. With the recent investment, the combined valuation of HBSE, including its assets such as the Philadelphia 76ers and the New Jersey Devils, is approximately $14.58 billion as of mid-2025.

This significant valuation underscores the growing importance of HBSE in the sports and entertainment industry. As the company continues to expand and invest in various ventures, it is poised to remain a key player in the global sports landscape.
