Hà Nội Opera House & Cultural Park: A Modern Landmark by 2027
Hà Nội is set to welcome a new cultural landmark. The Hà Nội Opera House and Thematic Cultural and Art Park is underway, with completion slated for 2027. This ambitious project, funded by Sun Group Corporation, reflects the city's vision for a modern, culturally rich capital.
Construction began on October 5. The project spans 40 hectares and boasts a total investment of over VNĐ12.756 trillion (over US$480 million). It will include a modern, multifunctional opera house with nearly 2,000 seats, designed by renowned Italian architect Renzo Piano. The opera house will feature two main auditoriums, rehearsal rooms, a museum, viewing terraces, and a spacious main foyer.
The project also includes a cultural park for major events and everyday recreation. The city is committed to ensuring the project is completed on schedule and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Sun Group Corporation is funding the project entirely with socialized capital, with no public investment involved.
Upon completion in 2027, the Hà Nội Opera House and Thematic Cultural and Art Park will stand as a testament to the city's commitment to culture and modernity. The project, built on the Quảng An Peninsula, is expected to enrich the city's cultural identity and provide a new venue for artistic expression and recreation.
