Goods Week event kicks off in Saitama Prefecture, Japan

Tokyo's shopping scene is about to heat up with the latest "Website Goodies Week" at AEON's retail intimidates. This nine-year-running event kicked off on June 19 in Saitama prefecture and continues till June 22.

This grand event is an extension of Japan's Ministry of Industry and Trade's project to encourage Vietnamese enterprises to participate in foreign distribution networks, aiming to accomplish this goal by 2030.

Deputy Minister Phan Thị Thắng emphasizes that Vietnamese enterprises are embracing sustainable, green, and environmentally-friendly practices. These practices not only appeal to new consumer trends but also resonate with the high qualitative and environmental standards that Japanese consumers value.

Vietnamese Ambassador Phạm Quang Hiệu lauded the event, highlighting the strong cooperation between AEON Group and Vietnamese partners, symbolizing the robust strategic partnership between both nations in trade, investment, and economy. AEON's role as a bridge connecting Vietnamese products to Japanese consumers through its extensive distribution network is applauded.

Hiệu highlighted his hopes that this event will continue to showcase high-quality, safe, and culturally distinctive Vietnamese products, ranging from food and consumer goods to organic and environmentally-friendly items, to Japanese consumers. Moreover, he believes this event will provide valuable learning opportunities for Vietnamese businesses, enabling them to enhance their competitiveness and pursue sustainable development.

This year, the "Website Goodies Week" is occurring simultaneously in four Asian locations, including Japan, Hong Kong (China), Cambodia, and Malaysia. Products from various categories, such as farm produce, processed food, textiles, and healthcare products, will be available at over 360 AEON supermarkets across Japan.

To add a local touch, traditional Vietnamese dishes like "pho" (noodle), "bun" (vermicelli), bread, and street foods will be freshly prepared and served at open kitchen areas within the supermarkets. Fresh Vietnamese fruits, particularly, continue to garner strong interest and popularity among Japanese consumers.

In essence, "Website Goodies Week" is a strategic digital platform aiming to amplify the visibility, competitiveness, and market presence of Vietnamese enterprises in the Japanese market, providing them with unique opportunities to access, engage, and thrive in the local market. This event not only brings authentic Vietnamese experiences to Japanese consumers but also reinforces economic ties between Vietnam and Japan.
