Global position opening for Head of Investment at Columbia Threadneedle's online platform.
Columbia Threadneedle Investments Announces New Global Chief Investment Officer
William Davies has been appointed as the Global Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at Columbia Threadneedle Investments, effective immediately. Davies, a respected leader within the company, takes on this role following the retirement of Colin Moore in January 2022.
Davies has held various leadership roles within Columbia Threadneedle Investments, having joined the company in 1993, shortly after it merged with Threadneedle Asset Management. His deep understanding of the company and its operations has been instrumental in his rise through the ranks. Currently, he serves as the Investment Chief for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region.
Moore, who has served as the Global CIO for 19 years, joined the company in 2002, when it was still known as Columbia Management. He transitioned to Columbia Threadneedle Investments following the merger with Threadneedle Asset Management in 2015. CEO Ted Truscott has thanked Moore for his service and looks forward to a smooth transition with Davies.
Truscott has referred to Davies as an exceptional investor, highlighting his ability to navigate markets amidst uncertainty. This trait was evident in Davies' participation in the Midyear Outlook 2025 webcast presented by Columbia Threadneedle Investments.
CEO Truscott has also sent out a confirmation email to activate a subscription for those interested in the company's updates. The email contains a button for activation and users are advised to check their spam folder if they did not receive it.
Davies will be responsible for leading the global investment strategy at Columbia Threadneedle Investments, a role that comes with significant responsibility and expectation. However, with his extensive experience and proven track record, he is well-equipped to steer the company through the complexities of the global investment landscape.
