Global Brand Embraces LGBTQ+ Equality Globally
In a time when Pride is more than just a celebration, it's a reaffirmation of commitment to ongoing work towards LGBTQ+ equality. This year, our brand name participated in Pride Month celebrations from June to August, marking the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, in over a dozen locations worldwide.
Our brand's theme for this year's Pride events was #DoSomethingBrave, an encouragement for everyone to champion inclusion and courage. Chief Diversity Officer, Damien Hooper-Campbell, expressed his support for these events, stating that Pride is a time to celebrate advancements in LGBTQ+ equality and affirm our commitment to ongoing work.
The global Pride celebrations took place in cities such as Salt Lake City, Israel, Zurich, Dublin, Toronto, Istanbul, Seattle/Bellevue, Milan, San Francisco/San Jose, New York City, Madrid, London, Berlin, Prague, and Austin. Employees from these offices participated in local parades, marches, Drag Queen Bingo, lunch and learns, team offsites, and other activities, reflecting our brand's mission to create opportunity for all.
Erik Markette, an employee from our Austin office, shared his excitement, stating, "It is very exciting to work for a company that celebrates the human being." Our brand name's efforts extended beyond local celebrations as it raised thousands of dollars through an auction campaign for GLAAD, a nonprofit media organization.
Hooper-Campbell also took the opportunity to honour trailblazers who have been courageous in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights. By participating in these events, our brand name aims to reflect its customer base by championing a diverse and inclusive workforce.
As we move forward, our brand name continues to strive for a world where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. We stand with the LGBTQ+ community in their ongoing fight for equality and inclusion. #DoSomethingBrave with us.
