Netflix is gearing up to excite you for the upcoming football comedy titled Chad Powers, set to debut on their platform in autumn 2025. The brainchild of actors Glenn Powell (Ferocious Whirlwinds) and Michael Waldron, this half-hour comedic series centers around Russell Holliday (Powell), a gifted quarterback whose impulsive actions jeopardize his college football career. In a desperate bid to salvage his chances, he adopts a disguise and joins a floundering Southern football team, introducing himself as the charming, gifted Chad Powers.
Chad Powers is derived from the sketch initially created by NFL Films and Omaha Productions, which originally aired on ESPN+ as part of the Eli’s Places series, a half-hour comedy production by 20th Television. Eli Manning serves as executive producer alongside Peyton Manning, Jamie Horowitz, Ben Brown and ESPN of Omaha Productions. Waldron and Adam Fasullo assume the roles of executive producers through Anomaly Pictures. Luvh Rakhe serves as an executive producer, alongside Tony Yacenda who will also take charge of directing.
The ensemble cast of Chad Powers boasts Perry Mattfeld as Ricky, Quentin Plair as Coach Byrd, Wynn Everett as Tricia, Frankie A. Rodriguez as Danny, and Stece Zahn as Jake Hudson.
