GE Vernova to Boost Vietnam's Power Sector with Advanced Tech, Substations, and Digital Solutions

GE Vernova, a global digital industrial company, is set to boost Vietnam's power sector with advanced equipment, substations, and digital solutions. This move aligns with Vietnam's push for clean energy and expanded renewable capacity, as part of its strategic partnership with the US.

GE Vernova, with a history of over 28 years in Vietnam, has been involved in major projects such as the Nhơn Trạch 3 and 4 thermal power plants, Sơn La and Lai Châu hydropower plants, and solar and wind projects. The company, which employs around 1,700 staff, has been actively participating in Vietnam's power sector development.

Recently, Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính met with GE Vernova's CEO for Power María Victoria 'Mari' Zingoni in Hanoi. Zingoni, formerly the Ambassador of Argentina to Vietnam, discussed potential investments and human resources development with the Prime Minister. Vietnam, with a vast and urgent demand for electricity, seeks to meet its centennial development goals with the help of foreign investors like GE Vernova.

GE Vernova's plans to supply equipment and develop substations, coupled with Vietnam's commitment to creating favorable conditions for foreign investors, signals a promising future for the power sector in Vietnam. The company's digital solutions will also play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of Vietnam's power infrastructure.
