Gathering Notice for the 2025 VNW Conference in Lübeck Meeting Call

The Association of North German Housing Companies (VNW) is set to host its Annual Conference in Lübeck, Germany, on the 22nd and 23rd of September, 2025. This two-day event promises to be a valuable platform for discussion, networking, and knowledge sharing, attracting up to 900 guests, including board members, CEOs, employees, and exhibitors.

The VNW, an association of landlords with values, manages a total of 775,000 apartments, housing approximately two million people. The average net cold rent per square meter stands at 6.74 euros.

The conference agenda is filled with a variety of interesting speakers addressing current pressing topics. Notable speakers include TV moderator and journalist Dunja Hayali, who will delve into the topic of populism in politics and media, and Prof. Dr. Jens Südekum, a professor of international economics, who will discuss strategies to make Germany's economy future-proof again.

The USA will also be represented at the conference, with political scientist Dr. Andrew B. Denison reporting on transatlantic turbulence during the era of US President Donald Trump. Co-editor of Mediapioneer and journalist Dagmar Rosenfeld will provide an assessment of Germany under new leadership.

The conference will take place at the Kulturwerft Gollan, Lübeck. Journalists are welcome to attend, though registration is not required. For organizational purposes, a brief email to [email protected] is suggested. For further information, contact Oliver Schirg at the same email address, or by phone at +49 40 52011 226, or mobile at +49 151 6450 2897.

Many social landlords are focusing on the renovation of existing housing stock instead of building new affordable housing due to the challenges posed by the energy transition, rising construction costs, and bureaucracy. This conference provides an excellent opportunity for these landlords to exchange ideas and find solutions to these challenges.

The conference will run from 10:00 to 16:15 on the 22nd of September and from 09:30 to 16:30 on the 23rd of September. The VNW Annual Conference 2025 promises to be an enlightening event, bringing together experts, professionals, and stakeholders in the housing sector to discuss and shape the future of affordable housing in Germany.
