GAC Nio Aims to Reshape Automotive Industry with Integrated Intelligent Travel Ecology
GAC Nio, a joint venture between GAC Group and Nio, is making waves in the automotive industry. The company plans to open at least two direct stores in Beijing by November 2023 and around 60 nationwide this year. Notably, 40 percent of its purchases were made by members within a month of launch.
GAC Nio's business model extends beyond traditional car sales. The company aims to create an integrated software and hardware intelligent travel ecology, focusing on intelligent network connections development. To achieve this, GAC Nio is setting up a smart car research institute in collaboration with PKU Jinqiu New Technologies.
GAC Nio plans to reconstruct the value chain in this context. It aims to limit its hardware profit margin to no more than 1%, returning excess profits to users. The company's first product, HYCAN 007, is a testament to this approach, integrating GAC's new energy technology and Nio's intelligent network connection technology.
To support its vision, GAC Nio has launched the GAC Nio Smart Mobility Ecological Fund with an initial size of $1 billion. This fund aims to provide financial and resource support for companies in the smart mobility ecosystem. Additionally, GAC Nio has introduced an automotive eco-membership system with Smart, Ultra, and Value tiers.
GAC Nio's ambitious plans include expanding its retail presence, innovating its business model, and investing in the smart mobility ecosystem. With its focus on intelligent network connections and user-centric approach, GAC Nio is poised to reshape the automotive industry.
