Future Heating Solutions for Euskirchen: An Overview

On October 9th, the city of Euskirchen is hosting an information day on heating exchange at the town hall, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The event is in cooperation with the Guild of Sanitary, Heating, and Air Conditioning, the Oeko-Zentrum NRW, and the e-regio team for district heating.

The day will feature specialist lectures about heat pumps, alternative heating systems, and current funding opportunities. Jan Karwatzki, an energy efficiency expert from the Oeko-Zentrum NRW, will discuss the use of renewable energies in existing buildings. Thomas Rendenbach, the master of the guild, will explain the function and installation of heat pumps in his lecture. Experts from local SHK businesses and the Oeko-Zentrum NRW will provide individual advice on possible heating systems.

e-regio will inform about connection options to the planned City South district heating network. Interested parties can learn more about the benefits of district heating and how to connect their properties to the network.

From 6:00 PM, there will be two specialist lectures. Jan Karwatzki will explain both current legal requirements for heating exchange and funding opportunities for renewable heating systems such as heat pumps. He will also discuss the use of renewable energies in existing buildings. Thomas Rendenbach will delve into the mechanics of heat pumps and their installation.

After the lectures, questions can be asked of the speakers. Interested parties can register for the event via the NRW participation portal at this link: https://beteiligung.nrw.de/k/1017626. For further inquiries, the climate protection manager, Mara Vollberg, can be reached via phone at 02251 14 307 or by email at mvollberg@our website.

This event is part of the measures announced by the city of Euskirchen in 2021 to promote renewable heating systems, which included an information day on heat pumps and alternative heating systems, with individual advice from local experts and lectures on current funding opportunities for renewable heating systems like heat pumps.
