FuboTV & Hulu + Live TV Merge: Disney Acquires 70% of Fubo
FuboTV and Hulu are set to merge, with Disney acquiring approximately 70% of Fubo's shares. The deal, approved by FuboTV shareholders, will see both services continue separately with promotional pricing options. Upon closing, all Fubo shares will convert to Disney's Class A Common Stock. The existing management team, led by CEO David Gandler, will oversee the combined businesses. The merger aims to strengthen Disney's position in the live TV streaming market, with both Fubo and Hulu continuing as separate offerings. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions. If all goes as planned, the merger is expected to complete by late 2025. The FuboTV and Hulu merger, approved by shareholders, awaits regulatory clearance. If successful, it will see Disney own 70% of Fubo, with both services continuing separately at promotional prices. The combined businesses will be operated by Fubo's existing management team.
