Alain Delon's Heirs Settle Inheritance Dispute, Agree on Taxation Terms

The children of the renowned French actor Alain Delon have reached an agreement in their lengthy dispute over inheritance, according to reports. The three siblings, Anouchka Delon, Anthony Delon, and Alain-Fabien Delon, have been embroiled in a bitter conflict for years, leading to legal complaints and strained family relations.

The resolution came during a meeting in Paris with tax lawyer Emmanuel Dinh, who is leading negotiations with the tax authorities. Anouchka Delon, the favored daughter, has agreed to pay her inheritance tax in France at a rate of 45%, the highest bracket. While Alain Delon owned properties in Geneva, Switzerland, it was nearly impossible to transfer the succession across the Alps due to evidence that the actor resided in France.

Under the official will, Anouchka Delon is set to receive 50% of the estate, with her brothers Anthony and Alain-Fabien receiving 25% each. However, a second will, disclosed in the book "Les Derniers Jours du Samouraï" by Laurence Pieau and François Vignolle, awards Anouchka exclusive moral rights over her father's legacy. This means she can manage the future exploitation of Alain Delon's image, name, and works, even though he had sold his catalog to Pathé. This could potentially fuel further conflict within the family.

Despite the progress in their dispute, tensions between the siblings remain. Anthony Delon accused Anouchka of withholding information about their father's health, while Anouchka filed a complaint against her brothers for privacy invasion after a private conversation was made public.

The estate, valued at around €50 million, is subject to significant taxation. The inheritance tax rate in France is equal for all heirs at 45%.
