Introducing the First Belarusian Gold Coin: "The Slavic Woman"

Belarus has entered the world of gold coin production with the introduction of its first-ever gold coin, named "The Slavic Woman". This significant milestone was made possible through the collaboration of the National Bank of Belarus and the Gomel enterprise "Crystal", which had to be equipped specifically for this purpose.

The gold coins, available in nominal values of Br50 and Br100, are made from local material and boast a remarkable purity of 999.9, equivalent to 24 karat gold. Both versions of the coins have a raised edge on both the face and reverse sides, and the side surface features knurling for improved grip.

The face side of the coins showcases a relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus, while the reverse side is adorned with a portrait of a young Slavic woman with a child in her arms, accompanied by two ravens on either side. This design pays homage to the rich Slavic heritage of Belarus.

Each version of the coins is issued in a limited edition of 3000, making them a valuable addition to any numismatic collection.

Estimating the Price

The price of these gold coins varies based on several factors, including the current market price of gold, the coin's weight, its limited edition status, and its numismatic value.

Without knowing the exact weights, we can provide a rough estimate of the price range. If the coin weight is around 7.78g for the Br50 coin and 15.55g for the Br100 coin, the price could range from around $200 to $500 USD for the Br50 coin and $400 to over $1,000 USD for the Br100 coin, depending on weight and collector demand.

For the most accurate prices, it is recommended to check the official Belarusian National Bank or Gomel Crystal websites, gold coin dealer websites specializing in Belarus or Slavic coins, or auctions and numismatic forums for recent sale prices.

A New Chapter in Belarusian Numismatics

This new gold coin represents a significant step forward for Belarus in the field of numismatics, marking the country's entry into the production of gold coins. The unique design and limited edition status make these coins a must-have for any serious collector.

The manufacturing of these gold coins in Belarus falls under the industry of precious metal production, given the production is undertaken by Gomel enterprise "Crystal" under the supervision of the National Bank of Belarus. The financing aspects for such manufacturing are mainly derived from investments in the gold market and limited-edition sales in the finance and collectibles segment.
