FNB Appoints Ghana Msibi as CEO of FNB Business

First National Bank (FNB) South Africa has announced the appointment of Ghana Msibi as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of FNB Business, the bank's business banking division. Msibi, with over 22 years of experience in the financial services sector, will be leading South Africa's largest Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) lender, serving over one million customers [1][2][3].

Born and raised in Soweto, Msibi has a strong background in banking, channel management, insurance, risk, and compliance. His educational qualifications include an undergraduate degree in Cost and Management Accounting, a postgraduate qualification in Risk and Compliance Management, and an MBA [1]. Before this role, he was the CEO of WesBank from 2022 and had been with WesBank since 2015, contributing significantly to its market leadership [1].

At FNB Business, Msibi is tasked with driving the strategy focused on growth and increasing market share in business banking, particularly supporting the development of local businesses and the township economy, aiming to foster economic growth and job creation [1][2].
