First Transaction Processed for Tokenized Fund Through Allfunds Blockchain by Renta 4
In the rapidly evolving world of financial technology, two prominent players, Allfunds and Renta 4 Banco, have been making waves.
Allfunds, with a market capitalization of nearly €9 billion ($10 billion), has been a key player in the blockchain solutions for fund distribution and tokenization. The Spanish funds distribution platform launched its FAST payment service for funds transfer in 2021, developed in collaboration with several leading banks.
Allfunds Blockchain, a division of the company, has also been at the forefront of fund tokenization. The division, established in 2020, has successfully executed the first orders in a fund tokenization project. The solution, which uses blockchain smart contracts for the entire process, includes tokenizing fund issuance, distribution, settlement, and registration of fund participants. Onyze acts as the digital asset custodian for the solution.
Allfunds Blockchain has also partnered with blockchain development house ConsenSys in 2021, and has participated in Iberpay smart payments trials. However, as of mid-2025, there are no specific updates on a partnership between Allfunds Blockchain and Renta 4 Banco in the area of fund tokenization via blockchain.
Renta 4 Banco, with €26 billion ($29.5 billion) in assets under management and administration, has shown interest in blockchain technology. In 2019, Renta 4 collaborated with Spanish stock exchange group BME to trial blockchain for digitizing certificates used for collateral pledges. The BME went live with the blockchain solution developed with Renta 4 in 2019.
Renta 4, a Spanish wealth management group with 110,000 clients, is a partner in the fund tokenization project. Despite this partnership, no direct updates on the collaboration between Allfunds Blockchain and Renta 4 Banco have been found in the search results.
It's important to note that other companies, such as Calastone, FundsDLT, Iznes, FundAdminChain, Figure Technologies, and ADDX (formerly iStox), are also deploying blockchain in the funds sector.
While there is no direct source-backed update on a partnership between Allfunds Blockchain and Renta 4 Banco, both companies' involvement in blockchain technology suggests a potential future collaboration.
