Singapore-based boutique law firm Covenant Chambers has appointed Ng Pei Tong as head of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Capital Markets. Tong rejoins the firm having previously served as a director in the corporate finance practice at top-tier law firm Drew & Napier, where he had worked before.

Covenant Chambers Expands with the Addition of Ng Pei Tong

Covenant Chambers, a Singapore-based boutique law firm, has announced the appointment of Ng Pei Tong as the head of M&A and capital markets. Ng Pei Tong brings a wealth of experience to Covenant Chambers, having worked at several prominent law firms throughout his career. Prior to joining Covenant Chambers, he served as a director in the corporate finance practice at Drew & Napier and worked at Herbert Smith Freehills' formal law alliance firm in Singapore, Prolegis. He also spent time at Rajah & Tann and returned to Drew & Napier as an associate director in 2021.

Throughout his career, Ng Pei Tong has been involved in several high-profile transactions. He acted as lead counsel to China Mining International Limited in a S$900 million reverse takeover, and he advised Temasek Holdings on its IT and cloud joint venture with Infosys Limited. He also represented OUE Limited in the S$908 million disposal of OUE Downtown's office components.

In addition to his expertise in M&A and capital markets, Ng Pei Tong provides counsel on employment, data protection, and regulatory compliance matters. His specialties also include listings, equity and debt issues, reverse takeovers, and private equity and venture capital investments.
