Expansion of Bluebay's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) department underway.

BlueBay Asset Management, a subsidiary of the Royal Bank of Canada, has expanded its in-house Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) investment team with the addition of two new members. Emma Whiteacre and Elena Koycheva have recently joined the firm, furthering BlueBay's commitment to responsible investing.

Emma Whiteacre has been appointed as an ESG Lead Portfolio Manager. In her role, she will focus on integrating ESG considerations into the investment process, helping to shape ESG strategy, and working closely with portfolio managers to enhance sustainable investment approaches, with a particular focus on climate change. Whiteacre previously held the position of Chair of the Responsible Business Committee at the Beazley Group.

Elena Koycheva, on the other hand, has taken on the newly created role of ESG Institutional Portfolio Manager. She will be conducting in-depth ESG research and analysis to support investment decisions, providing insights on ESG risks and opportunities across various sectors and companies. Previously, Koycheva served as a Senior RFP Writer in the Global Business Development Team at Bluebay Asset Management, and she played a key role in integrating ESG criteria into Bluebay's investment strategies.

Both Whiteacre and Koycheva are based in London. My-Linh Ngo remains the Head of ESG Investment and Portfolio Manager at Bluebay Asset Management.

With these new hires, BlueBay Asset Management strengthens its position in ESG investing, embedding ESG criteria more deeply into its credit investment strategies. This move aligns with the growing global trend towards responsible investing, as investors increasingly seek to balance financial returns with positive social and environmental impacts.
