EVO Welcomes Dr. Catharina Friedrich as New CTO
Offenbach's Energy Supply AG (EVO) welcomes Dr. Catharina Friedrich as its new Chief Technology Officer, effective April 1, 2026. The 48-year-old graduate mathematician brings a wealth of experience in the energy sector to her new role.
Dr. Friedrich, currently managing director of the digital startup digikoo GmbH, will succeed Günther Weiß, who is retiring after extending his contract. She has held various leadership positions in the energy sector since 2008, including a four-year tenure as a member of the board of directors at Rheinische Energie AG (Rhenag).
Before joining digikoo GmbH as CEO in 2024, Dr. Friedrich honed her skills in strategic planning and execution. The supervisory board of EVO praises her high professional competence and clear strategic vision, making her an ideal fit for the CTO position.
Dr. Catharina Friedrich's extensive experience in the energy sector and her proven leadership capabilities make her a valuable addition to EVO. Her appointment as Chief Technology Officer is expected to drive innovation and strategic growth within the company.
