Euromoney's Awards for Excellence 2024 applaud the leading status in the domestic market for the bank known as "World's Best Bank for Corporates".
Deutsche Bank, a leading global financial institution, has been honoured with two prestigious awards at Euromoney's Awards for Excellence ceremony held in London. The bank was named "Best Bank for Corporates in Germany" and "Best Investment Bank in Germany".
The awards are a testament to Deutsche Bank's strong position in the German and European banking sectors. Over 600 banks from more than 100 countries compete annually in Euromoney's Awards for Excellence, making it the most comprehensive programme in the industry. The awards are determined by an editorial panel of judges following a three-month research and interview process. Established in 1992, Euromoney's Awards for Excellence are the worldwide gold standard in the global banking industry.
Fabrizio Campelli, Head of Corporate Bank and Investment Bank at Deutsche Bank, stated that the bank's strategy, known as the Global Hausbank strategy, centers around bringing the whole bank to clients. This approach has been instrumental in the bank's success, as it enables Deutsche Bank to support its clients as they undergo transitions.
JP Gillmann, Global Head of Corporate Coverage, Panos Stergio, Julian Schoof, David Feldmann, Head of Institutional Client Group EMEA and Head of Markets in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, collected the awards on behalf of the bank.
The "Best Bank for Corporates in Germany" award underscores Deutsche Bank's commitment to corporate banking, with the Corporate Bank being the most profitable part of the bank last year. Euromoney commented that Deutsche Bank's Corporate Bank approach has highlighted its strengths and helped it build on its underlying advantages.
The "Best Investment Bank in Germany" award is based on Deutsche Bank's German investment-banking revenues, which placed it high in the Dealogic rankings. The bank held top positions across debt and equity capital markets, M&A, and loans, according to Euromoney's rankings. Julian Schoof, Head of Investment Bank Coverage DACH at Deutsche Bank, expressed delight at being recognised as the leading investment bank in Germany.
David Lynne, Head of Corporate Bank at Deutsche Bank, stated that the awards demonstrate the strength of the bank's global network and dedication to clients' lasting success. He also noted that the awards reflect the bank's progress with its long-term strategy, increasing revenues and maintaining discipline on costs.
In addition to these awards, Deutsche Bank was also named "World's Best Bank for Corporates" in Euromoney's Awards for Excellence 2024. This recognition underscores Deutsche Bank's Global Hausbank philosophy, making it the preferred provider for clients, meeting all their financial needs, at home and abroad.
