EPAL Raises Water Prices for Most Portuguese Homes
EPAL, Portugal's water supplier, is set to raise water prices for most domestic customers from this Wednesday. The increase, by 20 cents per month, will affect around 85% of EPAL's domestic customers with average consumption.
EPAL has adjusted its tariffs in line with the predicted harmonized consumer price index published by ERSAR. The price hike will impact customers using up to 25mm meters with an average monthly consumption of seven cubic meters.
EPAL offers alternative tariffs to help customers manage their water bills. The Family Tariff is available for families with five or more members. Additionally, the Social Tariff for Water provides discounts of up to 93% for more disadvantaged customers.
EPAL's water price increase comes into effect this Wednesday, affecting a majority of its domestic customers. The company has adjusted its tariffs in line with inflation and continues to offer tariffs to support families and disadvantaged customers.
