Emergency A27 Repairs Underway; Glass Fiber Pipe Coming Soon
Emergency repairs are underway on the A27 between Bremen and Bremerhaven. A makeshift construction is expected to make the road at least partially passable before the work is completed. The steel pipe will be replaced by a glass fiber pipe during this phase.
The emergency repair is scheduled to be completed by the end of March. After this, only partial closures are expected for the complete rebuilding of the damaged tunnel pipe. The responsible authority, the Niedersächsische Landesbehörde für Straßenbau und Verkehr, is overseeing the replacement of the steel pipe on the Lesumbrücke.
Currently, traffic is being rerouted via detours due to the closure. Despite this, no major disruptions have been reported. A construction pit is being set up to facilitate the replacement of the steel pipe.
The emergency repair on the A27 aims to restore partial access before the work is completed. Once the glass fiber pipe is in place, further rebuilding will require only partial closures. The project is on track to meet its end of March deadline, with traffic rerouting proceeding smoothly.
