Edinburgh's aviation hub has temporarily halted all air operations.

The whole Edinburgh Airport is currently at a standstill due to a technical glitch in their IT system. This problem led to the cancellation of numerous flights scheduled for takeoff or landing at 16:15 local time on Sunday. Some flights were rerouted to Glasgow or Manchester, but many passengers found themselves stuck at the airport. The airport staff advised passengers to contact their respective airlines for updates on their flights' status.

Images from the airport depict travelers standing in queues inside the terminal after learning about the cancellation of all flights. The media in the UK estimates that about 30 flights have been cancelled so far, but more may possibly be affected.

A BBC correspondent on location stated, "The people around me are quite agitated, and some of them have connecting flights, so the environment here is quite tense." The airport staff are trying their best to pacify everyone, acknowledging that some passengers are understandably upset.

The Commission is currently investigating the cause of the technical glitch in Edinburgh Airport's IT system that resulted in flight cancellations. The affected passengers are urging The Commission to provide clarity and compensation for the inconvenience caused.
