Dubai Duty Free Smashes Records With AED 671.79M September Sales
Dubai Duty Free has smashed its own records, announcing a staggering AED 671.79 million (US$184 million) in sales for September 2025, marking an impressive 11.87% year-on-year increase, making it the highest September sales figure in the history of Dubai Duty Free. This strong performance comes on the heels of a series of record-breaking months, placing September 2025 among the top 10 months in Dubai Duty Free's history. Year-to-date, sales have reached AED 6.075 billion (US$1.664 billion), a 7.45% increase over 2024. Luxury fashion was a key driver, with the Louis Vuitton boutique contributing a substantial 36% of Concourse A fashion revenues. Gold sales climbed by 21.9%, boosted by rising global prices, and pre-owned luxury retailer REKLAIM saw AED 3.5 million (US$1 million) in sales. Meanwhile, confectionery led category growth with a 57.7% jump, including 350,000 pieces of Dubai Chocolate sold. Electronics also performed well, with a 10% sales increase, largely due to the launch of the Apple iPhone 17, which generated AED 9.7 million (US$2.7 million) in just 12 days. The 11.87% sales growth outpaced passenger growth of around 4.2%, indicating a strong performance per traveler. Dubai Duty Free continues to set new benchmarks, demonstrating the appeal of its offerings to both local and international passengers.
