Discussion of financing matters between JCTA and the Buffalo City Council
Johnson County Tourism Association Unveils Budget and Promotional Plans for Fiscal Year 2025-26
In a recent presentation to the Buffalo City Council, Toby Carrig, the Marketing Director of the Johnson County Tourism Association (JCTA), shared the association's budget and promotional plans for the upcoming Fiscal Year 2025-26.
The JCTA has set an approximate total budget of $495,000 for the upcoming fiscal year. This budget is expected to be divided as follows:
- Marketing: Approximately 19.5% ($95,625)
- Operations: Approximately 32.5% ($159,375)
- Advertising: Approximately 38% ($183,750)
- State Grant Projects: Approximately 10% ($49,500)
Of the total budget, the JCTA plans to spend roughly $50,000 in state funds and just over $444,500 in local funds.
In terms of promotional strategies, no significant changes were mentioned in the report other than the addition of a new position for a social media content producer. Furthermore, Carrig did not specify the exact budget figures for the current or previous year.
The increase in the operations budget is due, in part, to the addition of the social media content producer position. Additionally, a new part-time position has been added to the operations.
The budget for promoting tourism in the county is expected to remain approximately the same as the previous year. The report did not provide detailed information about the budget allocations for marketing, advertising, operations, and state grant projects for Fiscal Year 2025-26.
For precise figures, it is recommended to consult the Johnson County official budget documents or tourism association reports.
