In a recent development, the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade conducted an inspection on the "Narasxvat" and "U doma" store network in Mogilev, Belarus. The inspection uncovered instances of overpricing for basic food products such as potatoes, cucumbers, tomatoes, apples, non-alcoholic beverages, and some dairy products.

The findings also revealed that during the inspection of 12 stores, over 60 expired items and 20 questionable quality items were discovered, totalling 1,700 rubles. However, no new information regarding the products or services offered by "AVA-service" was provided.

As a result of the violations found, three company officials were held administratively liable. The Economic Court of Mogilev Region subsequently fined the AVA-service company more than 5,000 rubles. It is worth noting that this is not the first time the AVA-service company has faced such violations, with previous incidents reported in the years 2022-2024.

In a separate incident, another 13 employees received official warnings, but the specific nature of these warnings was not detailed in the available information. Despite extensive searches, no current updates regarding regulatory actions against the AVA-service company for trade violations in Mogilev could be found.

As always, it is crucial for businesses to adhere to fair trading practices and ensure the quality of their products to maintain consumer trust and comply with the law. The public is encouraged to report any suspicious activities to the relevant authorities to ensure a fair and competitive market.

In this context, the retail industry in Mogilev was negatively impacted by the trading violations uncovered, affecting consumer trust in the business sector, including finance and retail industries. The flawed business practices at AVA-service, evident through food overpricing, expired items, and questionable quality goods, hinder the government's efforts to maintain a competitive and fair market.
