Dick & Paul Expands in Spain with New Stores in 2011
Galician footwear and accessories firm Dick & Paul is set to expand its presence in Spain. The company, founded in 2008, plans to open stores in Salamanca, Ponferrada, and Almería by December 2011, following its first independent branch in Barcelona in 2012.
Dick & Paul was established in A Coruña by Pablo Castro and Diego Dorrego with an initial investment of 30,000 euros. The company sells its own-brand footwear and operates a multi-brand business, targeting medium-priced footwear companies like Bimba & Lola, Hakei, and Uterquë as its competition. Its expansion plans include opening its first standalone store in Madrid in 2012 and aiming to reach 20 points of sale in Spain by the end of 2011.
The average price of a pair of shoes at Dick & Paul is around 120 euros. The company aims to close 2011 with a turnover of 2.5 million euros, marking significant growth since its inception.
