Commerzbank Appoints Paul Maeser as New Berlin Liaison Office Head
Commerzbank has appointed Paul Maeser as the new head of its Berlin liaison office, effective from November 1. Maeser brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles in corporate banking and the Federation of German Industries.
Maeser began his career in corporate banking at another major US bank before moving to the Federation of German Industries. There, he served as a senior manager in the research department. His extensive background in finance and industry has equipped him well for his new role at Commerzbank.
Maeser takes over from an unspecified predecessor at the Berlin office. He will report directly to Thilo Schweizer, who has been responsible for public affairs since August 1, 2023. Schweizer will provide support and guidance to Maeser as he leads the Berlin liaison office.
Paul Maeser's appointment as the new head of Commerzbank's Berlin liaison office signals the bank's commitment to strong industry ties and effective public affairs management. With his robust experience in corporate banking and industry research, Maeser is well-positioned to drive success in his new role.
