Citroen Aircross X now accepting advance reservations, reveals new features and color variations in its design
The automotive world is abuzz with excitement as Citroën prepares to launch the Aircross X in India next year. While the exact launch date remains undisclosed, the anticipation is palpable.
The new model is expected to sport a dual-tone theme, adding a touch of elegance to its exterior. However, the exterior styling changes are likely to be minimal, preserving the recognisable Aircross silhouette.
Stepping inside the cabin, one will find a more comprehensive upgrade. The dashboard will boast a more polished design, featuring a leather wrap, and the seats will be adorned with leatherette upholstery. For added comfort, the Aircross X may incorporate soft-touch materials across multiple surfaces.
One of the most exciting features of the Aircross X is the introduction of the new CARA in-car AI assistant. This sophisticated technology, which made its debut on the Basalt X, promises to revolutionise the driving experience. CARA can execute voice commands in 52 languages, providing complex data such as optimal navigation routes, nearest car parts, and distance to empty based on the destination.
In terms of power, the Aircross X will continue using the 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, tuned for 81 bhp, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. Higher variants will upgrade to a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, delivering 108 bhp. These variants will be paired with a 6-speed manual and torque converter automatic.
The Aircross X will also introduce a new 'X' badging on the tailgate, signifying its unique position in the Citroën lineup. Additionally, a new green colour option will be available for those seeking a more eco-friendly aesthetic.
To enhance safety and convenience, the Aircross X is expected to come equipped with a host of new features. These include push-button start/stop, white ambient lighting, LED fog lamps, auto dimming IRVM, and an optional 360-degree camera.
As the launch date approaches, automotive enthusiasts in India eagerly await the arrival of the Citroën Aircross X, with its promise of advanced technology, enhanced features, and a touch of luxury.
