Cirba Expands Battery Recycling Access Across US for Safer Communities

Cirba Solutions, a battery recycling specialist, is expanding access to recycling facilities across the United States. The company has partnered with Federal Recycling & Waste Solutions and Batteries Plus to make it easier and safer for consumers to dispose of end-of-life batteries. This initiative coincides with Fire Prevention Week (Oct 5 - 11), with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) urging responsible battery recycling.

Cirba Solutions offers WeRecycle Battery Boxes, prepaid recycling kits that allow consumers to safely recycle batteries at home. The company is also launching an interactive map, WeRecycle, featuring nearly 750 locations nationwide that accept end-of-life batteries for recycling. These locations include retailers, municipalities, and Cirba Solutions facilities.

A recent survey revealed that nearly half of respondents are aware that lithium batteries should not be thrown in the trash but lack nearby recycling options. To address this, Cirba Solutions has partnered with Batteries Plus, a service center with over 730 locations, to accept end-of-life batteries for recycling.

Cirba Solutions' expanded battery recycling access aims to make it convenient and responsible for consumers to dispose of their end-of-life batteries. The company's efforts, along with the NFPA's encouragement, promote safer communities during Fire Prevention Week and beyond.
