Cars Debut at Quail: Ivara, Kaveya, and SDVA from Karma Auto

The electric vehicle landscape is about to witness a significant shift with the upcoming launch of the Karma Kaveya and the Karma Ivara, both products of a bilateral collaboration between Karma Automotive and Intel Automotive.

Karma Automotive, known for its commitment to sustainable mobility, is set to introduce the Karma Kaveya, the first vehicle to be produced from this partnership. Currently undergoing development testing, the Karma Kaveya is expected to launch in 2026, promising up to 1,000HP of pure electric power and featuring butterfly-doors. The estimated pricing for this super coupe is from $300,000 (USD).

The Karma Kaveya's interior demonstrates exceptional capability for personalization, using midnight blue leather produced in partnership with Bridge of Weir. The interior follows a "reductionary" approach, hiding non-essential displays until summoned, offering a clean and driver-focused purpose. A first-ever in-car audio system by luxury audio brand, Master & Dynamic, adds to the vehicle's premium feel.

The Karma Kaveya is expected to be the globe's first production vehicle built upon Software-Defined Vehicle Architecture (SDVA), co-developed with Intel Automotive. This architecture, which allows for the seamless movement of workloads between software-defined central "compute" systems and software-defined zonal "compute" sub-systems, is designed to save energy, improve efficiency, and reduce the total number of electronic control units (ECUs) in a vehicle.

Karma Automotive aims to benchmark, demonstrate, and validate critical concepts for the advancement of open standards for SDVA through the deployment of this technology throughout its upcoming model range, in collaboration with Intel Automotive.

Meanwhile, the Karma Ivara, with its design emphasizing exotic proportions, steeply-raked windshield, and a driver-focused purpose, introduces a new segment of multi-terrain capable vehicle, the "GT-UV," or Grand Touring Utility Vehicle. The protective matte undertray of the Karma Ivara is finished with self-healing paint, achieved through microscopic segments.

Karma Automotive recently unveiled these two Global Premieres: the Karma Ivara "GT-UV" Design Study and the Karma Kaveya super coupe with production-ready interior. The 3 Generation Karma Revero will also return to the marketplace in the 4 Quarter, 2024, offering 150 examples priced from below $150,000 USD.

Intel Automotive, the automotive division of Intel Corporation, specializes in developing software-defined vehicle architectures and advanced automotive technologies. The collaboration with Karma Automotive is aimed at co-developing such architectures.

With these new offerings, Karma Automotive continues to push the boundaries of electric vehicle design and technology, offering consumers a unique blend of style, performance, and sustainability.
