Businesspeople from Stavropol city victorious in nationwide Sber competition
In Moscow, entrepreneurs from across Russia were honored with the annual Sberbank "Favorite Small Business" award. Among the hundred federal stage winners, each receiving 1 million rubles for business development, ten Grand Prix winners were also recognized with vacation certificates to the year-round resort "Manzherok" in the Altai Republic. Among the Grand Prix recipients were Nataliya Babiyeva and Anastasiya Kharina from Stavropol.
Nataliya Babiyeva, director of the educational center "Leader," expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating, "We strive to provide an environment that not only offers courses but fosters the overall development of children through advanced educational programs and innovative teaching methods."
Anastasiya Kharina, owner of the confectionery "VKREM," shared her excitement, stating, "We will allocate part of the prize money for employee bonuses and invest the remaining funds in expanding our production by renovating a new 100 sq. m space and procuring necessary equipment for a spacious bakery workshop."
Seven small business entrepreneurs from Stavropol won the Sberbank "Favorite Small Business" award. In addition to Babiyeva and Kharina, the winners include Mikhail Baturin (NPO Immunoteks), Georgy Oganesyan ("Pyramid"), Nataliya Kosova (MOUNTRIDE (MAUNTRAID)), Aleksey Mernov (ESTETMAN), and Tatyana Streletskaya (Bakery "Melnitsa").
Roman Chekanov, Head of the Stavropol Branch of Sberbank, commended the winners, stating, "The success of Stavropol's small businesses in driving import substitution, developing local production and services, and creating new jobs is commendable. Their high-quality service and speed are critical factors for the region's growth."
The Sberbank 'Favorite Small Business' award was presented in ten categories, including 'Beauty Industry,' 'Restaurants,' 'Marketplace Trading,' 'Retail (Non-food),' 'Retail (Food),' 'Food Industry,' 'Manufacturing,' 'Hospitality and Tourism,' 'Agriculture and Livestock,' and 'Sports, Education, and Development.' The competition attracted entries from entrepreneurs across the country, with over 31,000 applications.
Despite a lack of specific information about the winners from Stavropol and their respective businesses in 2022, the award recognizes small businesses that significantly contribute to their local economies and communities.
Small-business entrepreneur Nataliya Babiyeva, the director of the educational center "Leader," noted that they will utilize the awarded finances for advancing their educational programs and adopting innovative teaching methods. Anastasiya Kharina, an entrepreneur in the food industry with the confectionery "VKREM," plans to invest part of the prize money in expanding her business by renovating a new space and procuring necessary equipment for a spacious bakery workshop.
