Businessman Benderson acquires shuttered Denny's restaurant in Camillus
The former Denny's restaurant on West Genesee Street in Camillus, New York, has been sold for $1.25 million. The buyer, DEL Associates XXIV, LLC, is connected to Benderson Development, a company that owns the surrounding Camillus Commons.
Benderson Development, the owner of the surrounding property where the former Denny's is located, has posted a leasing sign on the site, but has yet to reveal any future plans or submit redevelopment proposals for the property.
FingerLakes1.com, a leading all-digital news publication in the region, reported the sale, which was also covered by WSYR. However, FingerLakes1.com is not involved in the sale or future plans of the former Denny's.

The company Benderson Development, owner of the surrounding property, might consider expanding its commercial real-estate investments, given the recent acquisition of the former Denny's restaurant. DEL Associates XXIV, LLC, which bought the restaurant and has ties with Benderson Development, could be entering the finance sector through real-estate investing, as the future plans for the site remain unannounced.
