Bus service F and FM momentarily halt on the western side of the central station
Due to construction work at the intersection of Dornheimer Weg/Michaelisstraße from August 4th to 15th, there will be changes in the bus routes for lines F and FM in Darmstadt-Nord. The HEAG has announced these temporary changes.
The "Rodensteinweg/Altes Schalthaus" stop will not be served during the construction period. Passengers are advised to stay on the bus at the "Haasstraße" end stop and get off at the "Kölner Straße" stop on their return journey towards Oberwaldhaus, Messel, or Urberach.
In the opposite direction, buses F and FM will first stop at the main station in front of Kinopolis in Goebelstraße. The Kölner Straße stop towards Haasstraße will be omitted entirely during the construction period.
As an alternative, buses F and FM will stop on the west side of the main station under the bridge. For the "Moldenhauerweg" stop, the bus will stop before Michaelisstraße 5. The "Moldenhauerweg" stop will be temporarily located on Dornheimer Weg at house number 40.
In the direction of Oberwaldhaus, Messel, and Urberach, the boarding point at the "Haasstraße" stop will be moved to Staudingerstraße at house number five.
For precise route changes, including stops affected or detours on lines F and FM between August 4 and 15, 2025, it is recommended to consult the official RMV website or local Darmstadt public transport announcements. The RMV continuously updates such information on their traffic news pages.
Before construction work, buses F and FM usually stopped on the west side of the main station under the bridge. After construction work, the buses will stop again on the main side of the main station.
It is worth noting that on weekdays, before 07:30 and after 21:00, the "Kölner Straße" stop will not be served. The "Im Harras" stop will be temporarily served in front of the entrance to Starkenburg-Kaserne.
