Preparations for Omsk's 80th Victory Day Celebration on May 3, 2025
Bus routes will depart differently due to the closed downtown area in Omsk center
It's about the upcoming Victory Day festivities.
On Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 10:00 to 14:00, transport of all kinds will be halted on Lenin Street, between International Street and the Victory Square, including the Sobornaya Square, with a view to the preparations and celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 in the Omsk region. This was announced by the Mayor of Omsk, Sergey Shelest, on May 2, 2025.
The movement of public transport within the city will be reorganized as follows:
- Trolleybus No 8 in the direction of the microdistrict Moscowka-2 will travel from Красный Путь Street along International Street, Gagarin Street, the Kosmosmost Bridge, Prospekt Karla Marksa, and make a right turn onto Leningrad Square (excluding passenger pick-up and drop-off at the public transport stop "Jewelry Shop 'Zemchuga') and a left turn onto Lenin Street, following the approved schedule;
- Bus No 62 to the "KDCC Mayakovsky" stop will travel with a detour beneath the 60th Anniversary of Victory Bridge and the start of its journey from the "Pushkin Library" stop, followed by a right turn onto International Street, a left turn onto Gherzena Street, a left turn onto Lenin Street, and the approved schedule;
- Bus No 73 towards the Chkalovsky settlement will travel from Красный Puть Street along International Street, Gherzena Street, and Lenin Street;
- Bus No 94 heading towards the Zagorodny District will travel from Красny Puть Street along International Street, make a right turn onto Gherzena Street, and organize a turnaround at Victory Square, followed by the approved schedule.
