Krasnodar administration has revealed details about bus routes experiencing an augmentation in fares

Bus fares in 17 routes of Krasnodar to rise from May 30th, with prices jumping to 55 rubles.

In Krasnodar, municipal authorities have disclosed the bus routes set to undergo a fare increase, effective May 30, 202X. The 17 affected routes, operating under brutto-contracts, will see a rise in fares and baggage fees to 55 rubles. These routes include numbers 19, 32, 33, 66, 83, 89, 91, 101A, 102A, 120A, 121A, 140A, 154A, 155A, 160A, 163A, and 177.

According to the Department of Transport and Road Management's Director, Andrei Belugin, the hike is a strategic move to transition more buses to brutto-contracts. The proposal for this fare increase has received a favorable assessment from the prosecutor's office.

It was previously announced that buses operating under brutto-contracts would witness a fare increase earlier this month. A brutto-contract pertains to an agreement between the city and the carrier, where payment is based on the evaluation of transportation work, either mileage or time. Under this contract, carriers are required to submit all earnings to the municipal government in exchange for budgetary support. For more insights on such contracts, refer to Yuga.ru's article on the subject.

The Krasnodar Administration has no immediate plans to hike fares on trams and trolleybuses.

Operational expenses, inflation, and regulatory changes can lead to fares increasing in public transportation systems. Brutto-contracts represent agreements where the employer pays the employee's salary before taxes and other deductions, which could involve adjustments in wages or benefits and shifts in tax responsibility and employment terms.

The Director of the Department of Transport and Road Management, Andrei Belugin, stated that the fare increase in the affected bus routes is a strategic move to transition more buses to brutto-contracts, which are agreements common in the transportation industry, particularly in public-transit. It's worth noting that the proposal for this fare increase has received a favorable assessment from the prosecutor's office, implying a possible expansion of brutto-contracts in Krasnodar's finance sector.
