Building of a new waste disposal facility in Ergoldsbach
The Landkreis Landshut has announced plans to construct a new waste collection centre in Ergoldsbach, near the roundabout on St 2615. This centre will serve residents from both Ergoldsbach and Neufahrn, marking a first for the region.
The groundbreaking for the new centre is scheduled for mid-July. The project is estimated to cost around one million euros and is expected to go into operation by the end of November or early December of this year.
During construction, the road will remain accessible as a two-lane road, considering construction traffic. However, a full closure of about a week is expected when the road is resurfaced with a new layer. To minimize disruptions, the responsible parties are taking measures to ensure smooth traffic flow on St 2615.
The new centre will cover an area of 2,400 m2 and will boast a spacious access road from St 2615/B15. A left-turn lane from Neufahrn will also be created for easier access. The centre will be designed with easy accessibility, ample space, and secure connections to and within the waste collection centre.
The current waste collection centres in Ergoldsbach and Neufahrn are no longer adequate for increased demands. As a result, the new centre will optimize the use of existing personnel by extending opening hours. Glass containers in both communities will remain at their current locations.
The construction of this joint centre is a significant step towards improving waste management in the region. The Landkreis Landshut is committed to ensuring a clean and sustainable environment for all residents. Stay tuned for more updates on the progress of this exciting project.
